A dull season

A dull season came through the wind
Like bad odour driven by the wind
It snapped at me and penetrated my veins
And ran all over me from my toe to my brain

I am a man with determination of purpose
With compassion and a good companion
I overtake my activities and help the afflicted

A little boy in church for the first time watched as the ushers passed around the offering plates. When they came near his pop, the boy said loudly, "Don't pay for me daddy. I'm under five."

An American woman fell into an outhouse and got trapped for a very long time. After a long time a man came and trapped her out. The man asked the American woman how long she had been in there.

The woman replied, "I've seen many moons Here."

Obioma was an inveterate drunkard. The local priest met him one day and gave him a strong lecture about drink. He said, "If you continue drinking as you do, you'll gradually get smaller and smaller, and eventually you'll turn into a mouse."

This frightened the life out of Obioma. He went home that night, and said to his wife, "Mary, if you should notice me getting smaller and smaller, will ye kill that blasted cat?"

Micheal and Kenneth were getting ready to go on a camping trip. Micheal turned to Kenneth said "I'm taking along a gallon of whiskey just in case of rattlesnake bites. What are you taking?"

Kenneth replied, "Two rattlesnakes!"

This is a true story of the late Irish author Brendan Behan who one night collapsed in a diabetic coma in a Dublin street. It was at a time when he was at the height of his drunken notoriety and passes-by naturally thought he was dead drunk.

They took him to the nearby surgery of one of Dublin's most fashionable and respected doctors. The doctor decided to take a cardiograph and, somewhat nervous of his patient, thought to humor him. He explained the workings of the cardiograph needle as it registered the faint heartbeats of the very sick and semiconscious Brendan.

"That needle there is writing down your pulses, Mr. Behan, and I suppose, in its own way, it is probably the most important thing you have ever written."

To which Behan replied, "Aye, and it's straight from me heart, too."

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansions guest room. Instead, the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,

He can never die again.
Jesus can never die again He is Lord indeed!!!
